Different from Battle Royale, Save the World is a Player versus Environment mode where players will take on the role of heroes in Fortnite. This mode takes place on a fictitious Earth where a worldwide storm causes 98% of the world’s population to disappear and a type of creatures like zombies suddenly appear to attack the remainder. Up to four heroes will cooperate to complete many different missions on different maps to collect resources, build structures to fight against the storm, and rescue survivors. Players also need to construct weapons and traps to combat the zombie that attempt to destroy the world. By completing the missions of the game, players will gain many rewards which help them improve their characters, weapons, traps, and support teams.

Creative opens the sandbox where allow players create their own custom islands as well as discover islands created by others. In the meta-game, the player can design and build his own structures on a private island and share it with up to 15 other players for a number of multiplayer game modes with customizable rules. When you enter a game of Creative, you will be loaded into a hub island where you can visit your friends’ islands as well as popular ones in the community. Players can join in various custom games to practice their skills, and battle with their friends. In Creative modes, a player can have up to four private islands to build on.
